Rooftop Queen

HAVEN Rooftop at Sanctuary Hotel, NYC

haven

Nestled in a beautiful 100-year-old building in the center of the Theater District is the aptly named Sanctuary Hotel, nine floors of luxurious refuge. To help BlackBook kick off the summer, Out Escapes was invited to cocktail it up on the hotel’s newest addition, a 2,500 square-foot rooftop Haven.

With low cedar couches, white fabric-draped cabanas and a 14-foot communal dining table, Haven provides plenty of space to enjoy the city lights and French-inspired menu. Stepping out of the rooftop’s private elevator on this particular night, we were greeted with Patrón cocktails and a sultry bluish glow from the lights of Time Square.

Guests spent the evening flipping through the latest BlackBook issue, downing delicious tequila cocktails, and socializing beneath the rooftop’s ample greenery. A few daring patrons were spotted sneaking up the stairs to the coveted VIP area, a rooftop above the rooftop. Make that ten floors of luxurious refuge.

If the summer agenda calls for breezy post-work mojitos, a tower of tuna tartare, or an evening of cabana canoodling (and lets be honest, the summer agenda usually calls for one of these things), Haven Rooftop is open for business.
